Who enjoys cleaning the toilet bowl??
More importantly, who enjoys the chemicals in the air from cleaning the toilet bowl??
Not me.
(To both questions).
This is a really easy (very light scrubbing) toilet bowl technique that will have your toilet bowl looking (and smelling) so fresh!
I always start cleaning my toilets by emptying the water that is in the bowl. In order to do this you only need about 3/4 of a gallon of water. I usually fill a bucket up and pour it in the toilet. This leaves only a small amount of water in the toilet bowl.
Once the excess water is out of the toilet bowl I drip 5-10 drops of oil around the toilet bowl. (My faves: Lemon, Melaleuca, Protective Blend, Cleansing Blend or Orange). I tend to stick with Lemon or Orange because they are the cheapest, and I don't like flushing more expensive oils down the drain (literally). Ask me which oils I use here
Once the essential oils are sprinkled I immediately sprinkle baking soda around the bowl. Usually about
1/2 C. (I am more generous with baking soda).
I let this mixture sit for around 20 minutes.
Using any toilet brush you can effortlessly clean your toilet bowl (and very quickly at that).
If you have calcium or hard water build up in your toilet bowl you can use a cleaning pumice stone (found on the cleaning aisle of most major retailers -- costs around $2 and lasts FOREVER) to clean the porcelain bowl.
Voila!
Safer, Cheaper, More effective cleaning with no harsh chemicals or fumes!
